Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Pageflex

Position Overview:
Pageflex, a unit of Bitstream, is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be part of a small Quality Assurance team that tests a growing suite of print, Web-to-print, and cross media publishing products. You will work closely with Engineering, Design, and Support colleagues and contribute to all phases of the software development cycle. You will participate in feature design, develop detailed test plans, conduct thorough testing of features and bug fixes, review documentation, write release notes, and interact with beta test-site customers. You must be self-motivated, display good analytical and troubleshooting skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate's Required Background:

5+ years experience testing complex desktop and Web applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience testing e-commerce Web sites.
Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 7 and XP operating systems, including networking and client-server enterprise system issues.
Experience with graphic arts composition and production issues such as typography, page layout, color and image management, workflow issues, and various forms of print output production.

Highly Desired Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge of TCP/IP, IIS, Web server and proxy configurations, XML, and .NET technologies.
Proficiency with setting up and using automated QA tools such as Segue and Rational.
Familiarity with programming and scripting languages, such as C++, Java, ASP.NET, SQL, Perl, VBScript, and JavaScript.
Knowledge of the Macintosh operating system and applications.
