Pre-Sales Specialist / Sales Engineer

We are looking for a top notch Pre-Sales Specialist / Sales Engineer to work with our growing suite of print, Web-to-print, and cross media publishing products at Pageflex, a division of Bitstream Inc.

In this position you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and conducting product demos, preparing web-to-print campaigns involving the coding of ASP pages, attending trade shows, assisting as a technical sales engineer during both on-site customer visits and WebEx demonstrations. You will work closely with engineering, support and consulting services to discover effective ways in which our software offerings could assist our sales prospects to see the value in our technology. To be considered for this position, you must be self-motivated, display excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and equivalent technical education and experience
5+ years comprehensive pre-sales, sales or sales engineer experience, specifically in client-side and web-based software applications in the print and web publishing marketplace
Proficiency communicating a wide range of technical material around hardware and software configuration as well as less technical end-user applications
Extensive knowledge of graphics arts and web publishing applications in typography, page layout, image management, HTML authoring, and various forms of print output involving PostScript and PDF workflows
Strong working knowledge of web-based technologies such as HTML, XML, ASP, and Flash
Prior experience with applications utilizing Web server and proxy configurations, TCP/IP, XML, and .NET technologies
Competency in Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2008 Server and XP operating systems, including networking, databases and client-server enterprise system issues
Willing and able to quickly learn company software products in order to make an immediate positive impact
Polished, professional and approachable presence
Ability to travel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly Desired Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge of variable data publishing technologies
Good knowledge of QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign
Knowledge of VBScript and JavaScript
