MyFonts Web Developer

Position Overview:
MyFonts, a unit of Bitstream, is seeking a Web Developer to help implement new features on the MyFonts website. MyFonts is the premier font reseller and has the most feature-rich font e-commerce website. You can see the kind of things we do at www.myfonts.com. You will work on the front-end website interface and back-end services. You'll work with a small team of other developers, designers, editors, and specialists. This a new position.

Primary Qualifications:

BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Experience in developing database driven web sites
Understanding of current HTML, CSS, JavaScript standards
Proficient in PHP for server side scripting
Proficient with client side AJAX technologies
Understanding of relational database concepts and experience with SQL databases
Prioritize work on multiple projects
Can collaborate with team members, but can complete projects individually

Secondary Qualifications:

Understanding of font related technologies, e.g. TrueType, OpenType
Web services, both producing and consuming
Data structures
Prototype Javascript library
Advanced Bash scripting
Python
Linux admin
