IT Manager

Position Overview:

As the IT Manager for Bitstream Inc., located in Marlborough, Massachusetts you will head a small IT team and be responsible for technical leadership and hands on IT work. Responsibilities include: planning and implementation of IT infrastructure, security compliance, firewall/VPN management, network administration (LAN/WAN), and system backups. You will establish policies and procedures, manage budgets, interface with vendors, head weekly meetings, ensure proper quality control, recommend infrastructure changes for compliance and updates, head disaster recovery and planning preparation, and oversee installation of key hardware and software systems.
Requirements:

• 5-7 years  experience in IT
• 2 years as an Information Technology Manager or related supervisory role
• Proven track record in maintaining overall IT Infrastructures including installing and troubleshooting computer systems, servers, general hardware and software installations, and backup systems
• Experience in Windows Server 2003 and 2008 Active Directory
• Experience in IT Security
• Experience in multi-OS environments. As a software company we support Windows, Mac, and Linux.
• Experience with web , FTP, and VMware servers
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Microsoft and Cisco certifications are highly desired
