Corporate Controller

Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven, outgoing and forward-thinking Controller to oversee all accounting, tax, treasury and internal reporting activities. The Corporate Controller will be a “hands on” manager of the month end close and reporting process, and will also manage and develop a small staff, update and implement accounting policies, procedures and controls, work closely with and provide support to the CFO and operating managers, and ensure the company continually maintains compliance with technical accounting and public company reporting requirements.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and develop accounting staff.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting including budget to actual comparisons, analysis and commentary on financial results, and cash-flow projections.
  • Develop accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency in reporting and compliance with GAAP.
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Preparation of support schedules for quarterly financial reviews and annual financial audits.
  • Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits and interface with auditors and SOX 404 Consultants.
  • Prepare external SEC reporting, including Form 10-Ks and Form 10-Qs for review by CFO.
  • Assist with preparation of support schedules for tax filings and budgets.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting to management and perform ad-hoc projects as appropriate.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelors degree with 10+ years of progressive accounting experience; MBA/CPA preferred. 
  • A strong combination of experience gained from within a public accounting firm and publicly held software company is required.  
  • Extensive, hands-on software revenue recognition (SOP 97-2) and SEC reporting experience.
  • Proven leader with a strong track record of managing and developing successful teams.
  • Possess significant experience with Great Plains and FRx software and reporting packages.
  • Possess significant planning and budgeting experience
    Possess excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
