Consulting Services Project Manager
We are looking for a project manager to keep our busy Consulting Services department organized and on schedule. Our services team needs a take-charge individual to track a high volume of customer requests from initial contact through project delivery. If you are the type of individual who just cannot help but start organizing mountains of work in order to keep the pipelines flowing, then this job is for you. To be considered for this position, you must be self-motivated, extremely organized, a clairvoyant trouble-shooter, and a persuasive communicator.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary customer contact, responding to initial project requests and guiding them through the development process.
- Oversee and monitor project schedules, anticipate scheduling conflicts, and juggle schedules as needed.
- Maintain status reports.
- Lead daily status meetings.
- Edit custom documentation and perform quality assurance on customer deliverables as needed.
- Prepare and submit billing information to finance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years project management or account management experience, specifically in a software related industry.
- Experience working in a custom software development environment.
- Proficiency interpreting requirements and communicating between both technical and non-technical resources and customers.
- Knowledge of graphics arts and web publishing applications in typography, page layout, image management, HTML authoring, and various forms of print output involving PostScript and PDF workflows.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Superior ability to multi-task with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of variable data publishing technologies.
- Knowledge of QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign.
- Familiarity with web-based technologies such as HTML, XML, Flash, and/or .NET.
